SUCCESS STRATEGY:

Some 13 years ago I didn't team up with Arbonne to become a millionaire. In fact, desperation rather than inspiration was more my mantra. I had a few pressing debts like a big mortgage, alimony, child support, college tuition, credit cards, car payments and never enough money at the end of the month. I was young and naive enough then to think I knew everything. The concept of not spending 110% of what you made had not registered yet. I came to realize that if I wanted financial freedom I would have to make better choices.

I had a few pressing debts like a big mortgage, alimony, child support, college tuition, credit cards, car payments and never enough money at the end of the month. The more I talked with others about what they were looking to add to their lives, the more I came to realize that there were many people in my exact situation. My mission evolved into what I could contribute to the lives of other working families. What if . the mother, daughter, father, son, husband, wife had more self-respect, more pride in who they were becoming, more desires realized, a more secure future, more financial peace for their families, more success in their lives? What if, I wondered.

So I began my Arbonne journey with a resolve for financial freedom for my family and all of the families I could find to share my story of "more". The reason that is important is that you must know why you're in business. What do you want out of it . exactly? Not just "more money" . money is not the real motivator for most of us. What motivates us is what money can do for us, whether it's freedom, security, a new home, private school, college, wedding, divorce, aging parents, contributing to God's plans, giving to charities, paying hospital bills or whatever. Your reason for wanting "more" will create the needed desire to be willing to do what it takes to become successful. I call this "showing up" in your business.

I didn't realize my Arbonne business had such tremendous potential back in 1991. My goal was to replace my six-figure income from 10 years in sales with Xerox Corporation. I didn't realize that there could be so much more if I was willing to reinvent myself as an entrepreneur. I had to drop the employee mentality and take on the business owner role of building a business with a group of volunteers. Volunteers only do what they want to do and sometimes what they commit to do. That is liberating! People only join you if they want to and you don't ask them unless you want to be around them. What a concept! You work with whom you choose and set your own business hours. You become the CEO and CFO with decision-making power to run your business with your family's best interest at heart.

Many come to our business while they have another job. The more they succeed, the more they know they could work from their home headquarters, juggle the family schedule to their best advantage and create residual income. At Arbonne, once you reach the middle level Area Manager position, you can set up a trust that keeps your override checks coming to your family for a lifetime! This is so powerful! If you are a professional, such as a doctor, lawyer, or accountant and you are out of your office on vacation, your income stops but not your expenses. Not with Arbonne. Our corporate friends really need to know the Arbonne secret of "residual income."

I take this responsibility to share our networking story everywhere I go. Some people see it and some don't. I try to be patient with friends. It took Rita Davenport, President of Arbonne, three years to convince me that Arbonne was a viable choice for a committed corporate employee. I am grateful that she was relentless in pursuit of Carol Waugh.

Since becoming Arbonne's fifth National Vice President in April 1996, I have seen our industry and company grow and mature. Arbonne's incredible one hundred percent growth in 2003 shows the power of great people connecting with great products to share. If I were looking for a network marketing company today, Arbonne would still be my choice. So who do you know that needs to know about Arbonne? Talking about our business opportunity is simple. Find the need of someone and fill it! More people go to bed at night worried more about their finances than about their skin. You can help many families have more and be more. Just ask.

All National Vice Presidents at the top are common people who have become uncommonly powerful in sharing what they have learned about network marketing. Arbonne's top leaders come in all shapes, sizes, and ages, and from varied backgrounds and levels of education. The greatest lesson is "If your NVP can get to the top, you can too." You can learn our skills just like we did! This is not brain surgery, however a caring heart will serve you well. What can you learn from all of the NVPs? What habits and actions can you emulate? My upline hero, Donna Johnson, wants to help create 100 millionaires in Arbonne. Donna is presently the number one income earner and she wants to pass on what she has learned. I can get on that bandwagon! Remember, if you walk like a Vice President and talk like a Vice President, you're probably a Vice President . if not today, then tomorrow or the next.

You and your sponsor both win big when you take the Arbonne gift and run with it. Thank you to my sponsor, ENVP Euphiazene Linder. The Arbonne opportunity has been a blessing. To my mentors and coaches Donna Johnson, Thea O'Donoghue, Phoebe James, Deana Wilkinson, Dana Collins, Julie Newcomb and Krystal Gray: Thank you for your
guiding hearts and wisdom
.
